The Rose in Meditation is believed to promote self Love, cultivate positive emotions, and enhance spiritual connection. The bottom of the sculpture is unglazed terracotta clay. It has been sanded smooth, for comfort while holding, and to use for essential oils. Terracotta has been known to be used as a diffuser for it's porous nature.

Red Roses are associated with deep feelings, strong emotions, and affections. They are most well known for Love and Passion, but they are also symbolic of Courage, Bravery, and Respect. They also symbolize Desire and Commitment.

Red Roses are associated with the Greek Goddess Aphrodite, and the Roman Goddess, Venus. Aphrodite was said to have rushed off to warn her Lover, Adonis, of a murder plot against him. As she ran she picked her foot on a thorn. As the story goes, her blood and tears turned white roses red. This myth solidified the Red Rose's association with Eternal Love and Devotion. In Christianity, Red Roses are associated with the Virgin Mary, and the search for Divine Love. In Hinduism, Red Roses are favored by Lord Hanuman, the Monkey God.
