Clay & Gemstone Necklace: Crysocolla Beads w/ Painted Tree Pendant For Grounding

Terracotta Clay is the main component of this lovely necklace. Terracotta has been used for centuries to make various objects from dishes to houses. It comes naturally from the Earth, in places with iron rich soil. I used this specific type of earthenware clay for that specific connection to nature, which I feel people forget all too quickly.

I used 50ib test Fishing String to ensure that the necklace would be strong.

I hand painted the Tree Pendant. Trees have a great deal of significance and symbolism amongst various cultures around the world. Without trees we would not survive. Trees can grow through rocks are man made structures, making them symbolic of strength and resilience. They can grow back even after being chopped down. They also symbolize growth, enlightenment, connection to the spiritual realm, and immortality. The color Grey, the primary color of the Tree on the pendant, is a neutral, grounding color. It also represents balance, calmness, and serenity.

I chose to incorporate Chrysocolla beads, which represents tranquility, empowerment, and wisdom. It is said to help promote communication, encouraging the wearer to express themselves with confidence. It is said to help release negative emotions and to help accept change. It is said to help with creativity. It is known as. grounding stone, for it's harmonizing and calming energies.

The five principles of Reiki inspired the placement of the clay beads on this necklace. The second principle in particular has helped me significantly. 1. Just for today, I will not be angry. 2. Just for today, I will not worry. 3. Just for today, I will work honestly. 4. Just for today, I will be greatful. 5. Just for today, I will be gentle to all beings. There is some variations in working across the internet and I may not have gotten the order quite right, but that seems to be the basic idea.
