Terracotta Bear Sculpture for Protection and Positive Vibes
Bears are symbolic of many things. Protection is one of them. Other symbolic properties of Bears are Strength, Family, Courage and Healing. Some believe it represents the Warrior Spirit. It is also symbolic of Self Knowledge, Power, and Resurrection. Personally, I did not know that Bears had such varied symbolism. It just felt like I had to try and make a Bear.
I used Obsidian for her eyes and nose. The flower decorations by her ear are 24k gold plated beads. The design on her shirt is Clear Quartz and Copper pieces. I painted her shirt Green because it is a natural forest-y color.
Symbolically there is a lot going on here. Obsidian is said to help Reveal Hidden Truths, provide Protection, Grounding, and Shield against Negative Energies and Emotional Blockages. Clear Quartz amplifies other Crystals, and is also said to be a Protective Stone. It is known as the 'Master Healer'. Clear Quartz is said to promote Clarity and improve Focus. Copper is associated with Wealth, Prosperity, and Healing. Gold is also associated with Wealth, but also Power and Enlightenment.
