This Is Me

Hello! I'd like to introduce myself. My name is Callie Sue Hitchcock, and I'm the creator behind Crystal Arborist.

I was born June 5th, 1992, in Springville, NY. My mother says I arrived before the doctor—impatient even back then!

In astrology, I'm a Gemini, the sign of the Twins. This seems to fit my personality, as I can often see multiple perspectives at once. Geminis are known for being communicative, versatile, adaptable, and witty. In the Chinese Zodiac, I was born in the Year of the Water Monkey. Water Monkeys are said to be clever, flexible, and creative—traits that help them excel in new projects and challenges.

While I may not have been the most social person growing up—I preferred books over sports and always felt a bit different—those quiet moments shaped who I am today. I developed a deep love for storytelling, fantasy, adventure, and comedy. A good storyline is everything to me, whether in movies, video games, or books.

People, like gemstones, have many facets to their lives and personalities. I may not be able to fully convey who I am here, but hopefully this gives you some insight.

I don't have just one favorite color—I love them all! Since I was very young, I've enjoyed reading, writing, and painting. I remember in kindergarten when I learned that mixing too many paint colors creates an unappealing brown. That early lesson in color theory stuck with me.

I love animals and share my home with a small family of dogs, cats, and parakeets. I used to keep fish and hope to again someday. For many years I've dreamed of having horses. I love the beauty of nature—walking along the Conewango Creek, exploring the woods, and gazing at the stars and sky.

I believe my shop describes me better than words ever could. Anything someone creates holds a piece of themselves, and Crystal Arborist is a reflection of my passions, values, and the things I find beautiful in this world.
