Starting Out

I started Crystal Arborist in February 2025 and made my first sale on April 3rd. After years of working with people with disabilities—a good and noble profession, but one that left me exhausted—I decided to create something that felt meaningful and sustainable. I wanted to build a business around my passions and create a life with more balance.

The slogan for my shop is, "May Peace, Prosperity, Protection, and Happiness Be With You Always." Everyone deserves these things. Symbolism is important in my shop because it conveys these meanings and ideals.

I started by making gemstone trees. The owner at my local metaphysical shop suggested I sell them online, so I took the leap. My first tree was made with a large rock pulled from the earth near my home and suncatchers for leaves. I've decided to keep it—it now sits on my dining room table as a reminder of where this journey began. I fully intend to make more suncatcher trees to sell in the future.

Crystal Arborist began as an Etsy shop, but I soon moved to eBay seeking better reach and lower fees. On eBay, I built a strong reputation with 100% customer satisfaction and over 50 sales. However, with eBay taking 25% or more of each sale, I knew it was time to establish my own storefront. That's when I discovered Shopify and created my own domain, giving me full control over my business and keeping more resources to invest in quality inventory.

Since the beginning, I've expanded beyond gemstone trees to offer crystals, collectibles, vintage items, and more. Every item is carefully selected and accurately described—I take pride in offering authentic pieces and honest representations. Crystal Arborist is built around my passions, and it's my greatest wish that it continues to grow into something wonderful. I hope you'll give my shop a chance and find something special here.
