Love & Inspiration

The inspiration behind Crystal Arborist comes from a lifetime of love for nature, gemstones, and trees—passions instilled in me by my parents.

My mother introduced me and my sister to the joy of exploring nature. She took us on hikes where we'd collect rocks and minerals from creek beds, marveling at their different shapes, patterns, and colors. I loved finding shiny stones with silver and pyrite sparkling in the sunlight. Those childhood adventures sparked a fascination that never faded.

My father, a logger, taught me about trees—how to read their age rings, appreciate their height and strength, and recognize their quiet beauty. To me, trees are poetry in physical form, living symbols of growth, resilience, and connection to the earth.

Years of rock collecting inspired me to dive deeper into learning about gemstones and their meanings. I find it fascinating that such beautiful things come from the earth, and I love the symbolism associated with different stones—how they can represent peace, protection, prosperity, and transformation.

When it came time to name my shop, I wanted something that reflected both gemstones and trees. "Crystal Creations" and "Gemstone Trees" were already taken on Etsy, so I kept searching. When "Crystal Arborist" was suggested, it felt perfect. An arborist is someone who cares for trees, and that's exactly what this shop represents—care, attention, and respect for the natural beauty of gemstones and the symbolism of trees.

Crystal Arborist is built on love—love for nature, for meaningful objects, and for the stories they tell. Every piece in my shop is chosen with care, and I hope that passion comes through in everything I offer.
